Hi I nearing the expiration of my 3 year open work permit I found an employer willing to help me with LMIA
> went through the hiring process and he has submitted application for LMIA
> I applied for visitor record before the expiration of my pgwp
>now I am on visitor record

My question is -
After I receive the approved LMIA from my employer will I be eligible to flagpole?
I have a previously approved study and workpermit and now visitors record I also have TRV multiple entry am I eligible for flagpole

Ok is it the best to apply online then?

You can try to flagpole if you live close to a border but make sure you look up flagpoling hours. Would arrive before hours even start for the best chances of getting a chance of getting seen that day.

Can I apply for interim work authorisation after I have received the Lmia?

Yes I have held a work permit within 12 months and also will be applying for workpermit when my Lmia is approved

This is from IRCC website

A temporary public policy has been issued to allow certain temporary residents to apply for a work permit from within Canada. While all temporary residents can apply for an employer-specific work permit under the public policy, only those who held a work permit in the last 12 months may request interim authorization to work.

Just bumping up this thread.

Were you able to Flagpole @bux14 ? How was it?

Every ways are closed for LMIA followed by work permit, even approved LMIA holder don't know what is next.
