It was a smooth landing!!!!

Just completed the landing formalities today. It’s obviously a hassle to take a day off from work and travel all the way to Niagara for Landing. But it was worth it.

Documents needed: Work Permit, Co-PR, Canadian ID (I had my Drivers license), Passport.

I left my hotel at 6 AM and decided to walk to Rainbow Bridge.

Suggestions: Make sure you have a few quarters ($0.25x 4/ $1 pedestrian fare) to pay at the booth,

I paid the fare and start walking until I got to the US Border security. Told the officer I was there to the flagpole, to validate my CO-PR. He knew what it was, and within minutes, my admin refusal was processed, and I started walking back to where I came from.

I got to the Canadian Border security at 6 30 and since they start the Landing process only after 8 am, the officer suggested me to wait outside (for 1.5 hours), till they start calling people in. (Please know, that I knew this and chose to get there early, I am among the 1st few people in the que).

8 AM: I got in, the officer reviewed my documents, and sent me to another building that was just across the street, where I had to show the same documents again. They kept a copy of my CO PR, and my work permit, and returned my Driver’s license, 1 copy of CO-PR, and Passport (lol, obviously) This procedure took 30 And I was free by 8 30 AM. The PR Card gets delivered in 6-8 weeks.

Keys: GET THERE EARLY!! I was done by 8 30, as I was the 1st person in the queue.
