If I show Fixed deposit as POF. Should this be deposited 3 months before application. If that is the case It is not possible to apply as only 2 months left for December 2014.

It is being provided by my mother.
Should I submit a letter signed by mother saying that it is a gift and not required to repay?
OR
Should I provide with an affidavit saying that it is a gift from my mom.
Concern is if I don't provide with this information, the VO might ask for last 6 month's statement which will say that that amount is deposited from (my mother's) another account.
