Hello. My wife recieved a PPR on 1 June 2022, Sep 21 applicant Outland from India. Noting VFS takes about 3 weeks to return passport in Mumbai on an average we are planning to travel on June 21st. This will be her 33rd week of pregnancy.
Question: Our doctor is refusing to give Fit to fly certificate post 32 weeks of pregnancy.
Can anyone with similar experience guide how they got fit to fly certificate and if they had any trouble with the airline while boarding due to pregnancy.

Each airline has slightly different rules. So you should check the website of the airline(s) you plan to fly with. Generally speaking, as long as you have the fit to fly certificate, your wife should have no issues flying.
I can't comment on how to get the certificate. Why is the doctor refusing to give it? If the doctor is refusing to give it, it may make sense to change your plans vs. taking the risk of flying.

Regarding the Fit to Fly certificate, it's common for doctors to be cautious about issuing them after 32 weeks of pregnancy due to potential health concerns. However, every situation is unique, and it's essential to discuss your specific travel plans and medical history with your doctor. Some airlines may have specific policies or requirements regarding pregnant passengers, so it's advisable to check with the airline directly to ensure a smooth boarding process. Providing any necessary medical documentation, such as a letter from your doctor explaining the circumstances, can also help alleviate any concerns the airline may have. Ultimately, prioritizing your wife's health and well-being during pregnancy is paramount. If traveling at 33 weeks is not feasible due to medical advice, it may be worth considering alternative arrangements or adjusting your travel plans accordingly.
