Can a newly landed immigrant file his first tax return online, because I guess there is not much to be included in it and can be worked out without the help of a tax expert.
And about the CCBT, can it also be done online. Should we attach the required documents or only to be provided if asked, for example they ask for birth certs, passport copies, etc.
Secondly, Is it adviseable to make My Account here and get all done online, if so which one of the following is better to make account from, from Sign In Partner or CRA login. Please suggest. Thanks

Download "StudioTax2013," use it to make your tax return, print it then mail to CRA (via Canada Post).
There's also a section there for applying for direct deposit.
After a couple of weeks, you'll get your tax return straight to your bank account. Then you'll receive a letter from CRA giving you instructions on how to activate your eFile/MyAccount.
You have to do it the Canada Post way for the first time.
Anyway, I believe tax return filing is over for this year.

As far as I know, there is no leeway for new immigrants not to meet the deadline. You should have gotten your T4's at the same time as your co-workers so you can file at the same time as they do as well.
You can see the deadlines here for 2013: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ll-dts/frms-eng.html
Normal deadline for employees: April 30th, this year extended to May 5th
For self-employed: June 15th
If you have missed the deadline, you should still file as soon as possible.
