Hello. I am an American citizen trying to get family sponsorship (with my domestic partner) through my father and stepmother, who are both permanent residents of Canada. I recently mailed in all paperwork to Mississauga--it was delivered on August 9 (2017).
On August 16, the paperwork was sent back to my father's house in Toronto. It came in a CA govt envelope, addressed to me c/o my father. The back flap was taped and inside were all the forms plus the front of the envelope I had sent in. Stamped on the govt. address label was "Received Aug 09 2017 CPC Mississauga."
Does anyone know what this means?? I, myself, have not received anything either via postal mail or email...
They did not write anything. They cut the front of my envelope out (with their address and my return address and the registered mail label). Stamped on their address label it said "received." And it was not returned to me, but sent to my father's house.
It does not seem obvious to me that they are returning the application. And, if they are, how am I to know why or what that means?
Thanks to anyone who has gone through the family sponsorship application and can provide any insight. Thank you!
