Not really, I did in fingerprint agency on one Sat and received the hard copy on Thurs, only 4 days. If no criminal record, the RCMP cert is released in 72 hours.
My view is always better to have the process under your own control. There were some posts where the members directed to send to cic directly and cic said did not received it. If you send it thru courier, you do bnot need to worry such thing.
Oh, I thought when the regional police submit the the document electronically, it is something like the 'e-medical', they can somehow link it to the CIC system, and then it would be matched to our file quicker.
I guess i just wasn't sure what the regional police "optional electronic submission of fingerprints" meant
Hi CEC 1304, this is the request for yourself only! As I mentioned, if it requests for spouse and other members, you should receive separate email where specifically mentioned in the email like the Email quoted "for your spouse and other dependents over 18".

Which means they do digital fingerprint electronically which is faster than paper based. But I don't think it will upload yo CIC electronically like E meds.
Have you guys submitted the PCC from your home country along with your application?
Reason I am asking is I have submitted only RCMP with my app and not my PCC from India, as its taking forever to get it.

Ideally send the PCC with app, but don't have to then. If you have not sent yet, you will be asked some time along the process. As you said, it takes long time, so you should apply for it ASAP. Home country PCC is a must.
I agree, I am going to India in July and I planned to apply there and get it, as it just takes only 1 or 2 days to get it. From Canada, they say 4-6 weeks but took my friends 8-12 weeks.
