My husband and I have been approved for the initial process of permanent residency. I was asked to sent my medical and police records. I went on the website and got the information. I sent the finger prints to Mexico city this address Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra 193
Col. Granada 11520 Mexico, D.F at the end of february 2013. I have not received any confirmation nor information of what to do next?. Do any of you know whats next? Will I get the police records? or will they send them directly to the canadian officials at the place where I have sent my application?. Is it normal to wait for almost 6 months to hear back from them?
Usually the country that you need the police clearance from will send you the police certificate back and you will be the one sending it to the CIC.
I asked my mother in my home country to do it for me,she got the certificate in5 days and she sent the certificate back to me. Each country might differ.
And usually the CIC gives a deadline on when you can send the police clearance till as well as do the medicals.
When is yours?
I suggest you contact the people responsible for your police clearance application and see why they haven't sent you anything back or if they have sent it directly to he cic. (might be possible.)
Also contacting CIC with a letter of why your police clearance is delayed through writing might be a good idea. As well as some sort of proof that you have sent in a request.
If they (CIC) have not received the documents in time, and you did not give them any notice of why. It may cause your application to be rejected.
