I want to sponsor my mom and my younger brother as depent child. Can someone tell me how much gross income I need to show for 12 preceding months?
If I can show them the adequate income amount for 12months, do I still need to maintain that income level until my mom get visa, or it only matters for the period of 12 mths before I file sponsorship application?
According to guide 5196, you will have to prove you have an income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income - this is called the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO). Each year, the Canadian government decides what this amount is and publishes the information. You will have to provide Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) with documents that show your financial resources for the past 12 months and prove you are financially able to sponsor members of the family class. You may get the help of a co-signer (must be your spouse or common-law partner).
Low Income Cut-off (LICO) Effective January 1 - December 31, 2010
Size of Family UnitMinimum necessary income
1 person (the sponsor)$20,584
2 persons$27,787
3 persons$34,306
4 persons $39,455
5 persons$43,913
More than 5 persons, for each additional person, add:$4,457
I would say you should maintain the income until your mom get the visa.
So if my parents are divorced and not living together. Can I file 2 separate sponsorship for each one of them at the same time?
Will they allow me to do so?
Also, how do I calculate the amount of income needed for 4 adults (including me - sponsor, mom and sister (in one application) and father (in a separate app))

Yes, they will allow you do it. I assume you are single because you have to count your dependents as well if you are married. So you would have to meet and maintain the LICO during the processing for 4 persons.
