Hi all
I am confused about the tuition fees in order to apply for a student visa.
The Diploma i am interested in, cost around 2000 Cad per course(3 credits), but the total Diploma it´s 10 courses (30 Credits)
Usually a student take 2-3 courses per semester.
Does immi ask me to show prove of the 2000 Cad or for the total 20.000 cad?
Financial capacity
To obtain a CAQ for studies, you must demonstrate that you have the necessary resources to cover tuition fees, transportation expenses (return ticket to your country of origin), settling-in expenses in the first year (C$500), and annual living expenses for the duration of your stay.
I hope someone can answer
Cheers
Fernando
You need to show the money it will cost to cover your first year tuition + $10K living expenses + $2-$3K travel expenses.

I like your name which is Fernando. It's same as my friend.
Anyway, if you plan to study a diploma. It's 2 years course, so u must cover tuition + living cost. So, you should show around CAD 30,000
I also showed around 30,000 for certificate course. I suppose there is no big difference between diploma and certificate. Good luck
Hi guys!
I have the same question. My course is 2 years diploma, it has 4 semesters, and each semester costs around 8k CAD, so for the whole program, total tuition is around 32k CAD. So, 32k CAD + 2 yrs accommodations and living expenses (10k CAD/year) + 3k CAD for other expenses = 55k CAD?
Do I have to show at least 55k CAD for funds?
TIA!

1. For about the 100th time, First year tuition, $10K for living and $2/3 K for travel. So in your case you need to show about $28K to apply for the SA

Haha! Some people in other forums got me confused because their advice is to show the total cost for the whole program. :-\
Thanks PMM!

Hello all,
I'm admitted into 2yr diploma, which has one year of co-op, do I still need to show 2yr tuition+living or only first year?
Also, my sister is in Canada, can she also provide her financial statements in support of my application? Or will that be a negative point?
Can I take any letter of support from her?
Thank you everyone
