Hi, friends I received my ITA on 26 march and unfortunately lost my passport.
I was getting all my documents ready for the post ITA. In the process I was on my way to embassy on 30th march to get my PCC but some how I was successful in screwing my passport.
I went to embassy rite away and informed them I had lost my passport, and filed a police complaint with Toronto police.
I am going trough the website of embassy and BSF, Process to apply for duplicate passport under Lost/Damaged.
It looks like I have to wait anything between 3 weeks to 2 months which seems to make the situation more worst.
I am wondering any one had similar situation or expertise and had got their passport under Emergency scheme or under Tatkal scheme please guide me.

Thank you Aditya kumaran,
I am an Indian, I went through the Consulate website even they did not mention any details for emergency category for lost/damaged.( they just mentioned Discretion rests with Embassy to make a decision)
I work in Kingston that's the reason I could not make the trip to Embassy again. I have to visit this Friday and make a plea for the emergency category.

My friends received same day passport by walkin to Toronto Indian embassy at 356 Bloor St East, 7th floor. May be you try as emergency you would like to travel India something like that. Also on Friday between 10am to 12pm you can meet Consulate General Of India without appointment.
Better to walkin and fill necessary forms and get guidance from Embassy people. Its difficult over phone or any sort of web portal might delay your need.
I don't believe IRCC will extend ITA (but send a CSE anyways, it doesn't hurt and maybe they can make an exception for you), so if you could not get your new passport by the time ITA is about to expire, submit your application with your current passport scanned (if you have it) or a letter of explanation in the place of passport document stating that you have lost your passport after you received ITA and ask for an exception. Hopefully they will review your application and send you a additional document request to give you a second chance for submitting new passport.
