Hi,

I applied as Independent Skilled Worker immigrant and finally recieved the visa after 5 years. I am not provincial nominee and did not apply to go to Quebec.

My question is, if I have a change of plan and intend to proceed to a different province and city other than the one I specified in IMM0008,

1. do I have to notify the Embassy about this prior to departure?

2. Do I have to return the COPR to the embassy and have the new destination reflected on it?

3. Will this be a problem at the port of entry if I don't notify the embassy ahead of time? Do they ask at all at the port of entry your final destination when you land?

4. What does dest:3812 in the COPR mean?

Thanks,

You can 'land' at any Canadian Immigration post and proceed to anywhere in Canada you wish.
