I have submitted my study permit application to the embassy of canada in manila on may 11, 2010. I still have no response from the embassy. I have called their call center several times already and they said it is still on process. Classes is starting on Sept 7 at McMaster University. I am worried that I may not be able to make it because I understand that medical is still required.

Best of Luck on your interview! Have you read some threads regarding the flow of the interview? i think I have read one but that was for an Indian, i'm not sure if it's the same for Filipinos. the most important thing is to convince them that you're going back after finishing the course. God Bless!
Hi
It was more of an accusing one rather than inquiring. I did not know that I violated the immigration rule in Canada when I stayed there for more than 1 month. But anyway, I just told them the truth so I guess that worked.
They may not interview naman. Kaya lang naman nila ako ininterview is because of the said violation. The officer said they need to know if I was set out to violate the rule or if I have reason why I did the violation.
Most of the people in this thread naman were not interviewed. So you might not be interviewed and just get the referral letter for medical.
God speed sa atin.
