Hello
My name is Joanne. I'm a Filipina who is engaged to my Canadian fiance.
We want to get married early next year - we haven't decided where and are looking for advice as to where is the easiest and quickest. We prefer Canada but we know a visitor visa is not available as I don't own property.
We are thinking Philippines, Thailand or even Hong Kong.
Thank you for reading.
Hope this is the right forum.

Ideally you should get married in the Philippines, with your family present and preferably some of his family will make the trip also. IRCC will look favorably at the wedding in this scenario.
My Irish fiance and I have decided to get married here in the Philippines. He is a permanent resident of Canada living there.
We're starting to complete our requirements. I'm from Pasig so we need to gather our papers and submit it here.
Is anyone here aware that marriage license will only take 10 days? Is this business days or calendar days?
Aside from the Cenomar, I know we need also to drop by the Embassy to get him a certificate of legal capacity to marry? Will this be from the country where he lives now or in his own country?
What does he need to do to get his required documents?
Thanks so much in advance for any help.
