I would like you to look over my case as I didn't apply for study permit yet.
I am 32 yrs old Sudanese architect working in Dubai for the past 6 years for the same company. I am in UAE since 2007 with my whole family (mom, dad, brothers, sister, cousins, auntie). I am married and my spouse is also architect and I have 1 year old son. I will apply as student, for my husband as OWP and son as TRV, is it ok?
I got admission for Fanshawe college (BIM course) in the past few weeks and I want to apply study permit.
Can you guide me through? and is it a good idea to let my brother who is a PR in Canada to sponsor my living expense there as a gift? or there is a chance of refusal due to Canada ties? what about my UAE ties?

- Your application is going to be more challenging right from the start since you are living in a country temporarily. This will make it more difficult for you to show ties.
- The fact your family is coming with you further lowers your ties and increases chances of refusal.
- The studies you have planned looks like it's graduate level. That's a lower level of study than a bachelor. You should really be studying at a post graduate level. Applying for a graduate program will lower your chances of approval.
- You should fund your own studies and all living expenses. Having your brother fund will further lower your chances of approval.
I would make the following changes:
- You and your spouse should fund everything yourself.
- If you want your family to come with you, go for a Master's program at a good public university. At a minimum, change your studies to the post grad level
FYI - If your aim is to get PR in Canada, a 1 year program is a very bad plan. You want to take a 2 year program so that you qualify for a 3 year PGWP and have a decent shot at qualifying and being selected for PR.

Ok Thank you for you cooments, so you are suggesting to search for another program (Master's will be better) but I am afraid they will not accept me because of my CGPA (usually asking for 3.0+)
