Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi there - I am wondering if anyone can clarify this for me. My husband is an Carpenter working in Alberta since 2009. Our last PR residency was turned down due to error with NOC on our application and right now we are applying again - this time instead of through the CEC, we are thinking of the Federal Skilled trades programme as this seems to be faster?
He has a FETAC level 6 certificate and it waiting on the AIT to certify him here in Edmonton. However we got a letter last week advising him that he is now able to challenge his red seal - which he does not want to have to do. My question is should the AIT be able to provide him with a Certificate of qualification which is required to be eligible for the FSTP. Currently he is on an LMO and has the required two years experience, has a job offer and has sat the IELTS exam. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I think that he does't need a CQ if he has a job offer.
I didn't understand the part with the testing - he doesn't want to take the test or what?

Right now he doesn't have the time to study for it...Would probably take 3 months preparation. According to the Trade secrets website an AIT approval letter is equivalent to the red seal but I am not sure if that is the case.
