Hello all,

Quick question... I have already received my FBI Police Certificate but I havent applied for QSC yet.
I'm applying next month. The FBI certificate will be 2 months old when I apply. Will it be still valid when they transfer my file for security and medicals to my visa office or will I have to apply for a new FBI Certificate.

Please help as if I had to apply for a new one I would have to do it now since it takes 4 to 5 months to get one nowadays.

Merci beaucoup.

Can someone please elaborate?

Quebec Applicants please....

Anyone pleaseeeeeeeeeeee

Can't be older than 3 months when you apply to the Feds.

Hi Wingsofmaybe7777,
I agree with Shahi and PMM. Your PCC is not useful while applying for CSQ. You will only need it for federal and should not be older than 3 months.
Normal procedure:
1. Get your CSQ with MICC (application should be send to Quebec). It may take 1 month to a year depending on how well you organize your documents, answering the questions and your French level.
2. Quebec will send you two copies of CSQ: one to use with federal application and marked Immigration, you should keep the other one with you (could be required by Quebec authorities for school, SIN and health insurance).
3. Before submitting application to federal, make sure that you have your FBI and police clearance from all the countries that you have been for at least 6 months.
4. If your papers are in order, federal will send you section A of your medical (your DMP should have other sections).
5. Make appointment with your DMP and do your medical (do not ask for a copy of your medical since the Dr. is not supposed to give it to you).
6. The clinic or the Dr. will send your medical to Ottawa who will look at it and contact you if there is a problem. If not, Ottawa will contact your local visa office and give them the information. During all this time, your e-cas status will be “In process”.
7. The immigration officer that is in charge of your application will notify you through your e-cas and under In process: medical results have been received.
8. If you are lucky the same day you will get your PPR.
9. Just before you get your visa or shortly after your e-cas will go from In process to decision has been made
10. After landing, e-cas will be updated to finalize or case has been finalized.
Note: sometimes, there are a lot of frustrations between Applying for CSQ and case has been finalized (waiting period). To avoid this, I would suggest you to plan your next 2 years with a lot of funs. Be positive but do not sit back thinking that you will get your visa (PR) in 2 months. I am not saying that it is impossible since I do believe in miracles but...
Bay the way, I found your message in my junk mails. It will be easier to post your questions on the forum.
Good luck my friend,

Hello Shahi,
If you could convince the officer in charge of your case, Quebec will send you CSQ in one to three months by mail. Minor problems with doc. will result in a phone call interview and you will be able to get your CSQ in three to six months. A “tete-a-tete” interview push your back against the wall to finally get CSQ in about a year. Again it will higly depend on their interview schedules.
Across this forum, I saw a lot of Europeans (France and UK) getting their CSQ within a month but again their documents have to be convincing to allow the officer to make a quick decision.
I hope that this will help...

Hey Beau

Thanks again for that reply... Well according to me my documents are complete and sufficient.

lets see what happens..!!
