I thought they want them within 3 months after they are issued? I hear of a few people having to get new Police certs for this reason. I was planning to order them when I submit my app, and if they didn't get to me by the time they request the police cert I'll just have it go through a channeler

Unless you are no longer live in US, then your FBI rap sheet won't expire. Usually it requires the PCC within 6 months at the date you submit your application. Currently the process time is around 12-14 weeks through FBI and couple weeks if you qualify to utilize the Channeler services.

I think I will submit my PCC after the application, seeing how it is taking 4ish months for the FBI to issue background checks.

I am now residing in Canada with my partner, if I order Police certs soon, ( say I get them in June sometime) how long will they be valid for since I am in Canada now? I wouldn't be returning to the US within that time. Thanks
