Hi all,

My FBI PCC was issued in April 2017 and considering that it is only valid for 6 months, it will expire next month. Also, my EE application is still being processed (possibly in background check phase). Would CIC cancel my application or request for a new FBI PCC? Or is there a chance that they'd use that report to make a decision on my application?

Any insight would be helpful!

Are you still in the United States? I heard that if you are no longer in the United States they are valid for longer than 6mths as long as you didn't visit after it was issued

Sorry.. Just got around to see your reply. I am still in the US. And I got ready for visa email today. As long as you are in the US, we shouldn't worry about it expiring (as stated by eng.ahamdi)

Wrong. If you are still in US, it is valid for 6 months from date of issue. If you are not in US, it is valid as long as it is issued after your last visit.
