Oh no! I just sent my application in today but just remembered about the validity of the FBI fingerprints. We received my husbands fingerprints on Dec 29, 2010 but it's really bordering the 3 month validity mark. Does anyone think it'll be a problem?! I'm getting stressed now ???

No, as long as they are no more than 3 months old (from the date of the letter from FBI), you will be fine.

Great!! Thanks!! I got scared thinking that ALL our hard work would be pushed back because of my oversight of the FBI validity. whew!

I was worried about that too.As long as i have them mailed in before the 3 months is up they will be okay?

Crud, didn't think about that. Ours were done in Jan. Paperwork should hopefully get to them by the 28th of March. I really hope that it's all okay.

Well this is terrible. Here the FBI stuff is supposed to be good for 1 year. Why will they be only good to Canada for 3 months?

Ours are closing in on that day but we wont be ready to submit everything for at least another week and a half. Anyone have any advice?

They must be under 3 months old when submitted to CPC-M. Once submitted to Mississauga within that time range, then they are valid for a year. If processing of your case takes more than a year, you can be asked to re-new the police checks, but the American office timeline is 11 months from start to finish, and that is for 80% of cases, many are completed in far less time than that. Don't stress it that much.
