So my paperwork is being processed as of July 29, 2015. I sent in my FBI clearance form to the FBI on June 26, 2015 and told the CIC that due to the FBI's long processing time, that they would need to extend my due date. They agreed and made the new due date October 15, 2015. But my husband still hasn't seen a ding on his credit card from the FBI and I am worried about how long it will take since I'll still have to get the letter and then send it to CIC. Any advice?!

I sent my fingerprints on Oct 29 and they didn't hit my credit card until the end January, and I didn't see the report until the very beginning of February. Processing speed has improved since, but it will take a while, and they don't hit your card until they run your prints and start working on things.
Also, CIC won't take any action on the due date itself, there is a grace period, especially when you consider how long it takes them to get documents entered, etc once they have been received. They told me on May 28th that they needed my CSQ in the next 30 days, but they didn't refuse my application until Aug 4th. Even then, I sent a letter stating (and including emails) that I had at least tried to send it to them, included the document, and asked them to reopen my case. I landed on Saturday.
We sent in my wife's fingerprints at the end of May this year (with tracking, so we're sure of the arrival timeline) and my credit card didn't get charged until August 14. We got the actual physical report in the mail around August 28. I hope that helps!
Wow thank you SO SO much everyone!!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your help. I'm gonna give the FBI a call just for good measure but I won't be running around stressed out now. Thank you again everyone! <3
I just called the FBI and they said they are opening mail today that is security date stamped June 29th. She said they will be in July mail in just a few days.
