Just double-checking that you have enough points with her included. Pretty sure it is above 440 these days. Non-accompanying and accompanying changes point totals.

Thanks @canuck78. With me as primary applicant and her added we are at 454 points. That is above the cutoff for my previous ITA and all ITAs after that, so that should be sufficient. Also, is it compulsory for her to take IELTS? I have calculated her points without IELTS.

Now the question remains should I update CIC now and start the renunciation process or wait for my application approval?

You can't apply if you are currently a PR. You won't be eligible.

Doubt it but not sure. Would assume you would just be refused and asked to reapply when you are eligible.
