Good day, I am a native Canadian and I sponsored my wife and her family last year submitted all thr requrements including the medical requirements and now as a sponsor I received a letter from the the immigration through email me saying that “I have met all the requirments for eligility as a sponsor, the APR for your relative will be processed separately”
and my wife also received an email saying “ Please be advised that your application has been transferred to IRCC office in vancouver for further assessment and IRCC may contact you for interview or seek additional requirements. That office will make final decision for APR”
What does this mean?
What’s next?
Are we approved already?
Please help. Thank you so much

Please see this link for an explanation of the main steps and stages of the spousal sponsorship process, which is much the same for inland and outland (inland a bit different only at the end).

Basically, you are now 'sponsor approved' and they have sent your file over to the IRCC office in Vancouver for them to assess your wife as PA. The PA assessment take longer than sponsor assessment. Count on one year from the time they first received your application to final decision.
Thank you for your reply.
but wait? another year of waiting?
it says here that im already approved as a sponsor. when i checked online my application status on the sponsorship application says “decision made” for PR application status “ IN PROCESS”
The IRCC received our documents last March 16,2018 and they requested for medical requirements for my wife and for her 4 dependands child last September.

Btw, this is inland application because my wife has TRV and her dependants children live in the Philippines.

Please read my original response carefully. I said one year FROM THE DATE THE APPLICATION WAS
ORIGINALLY RECEIVED (i.e. NOT from NOW or from your sponsor approved date).
And yes, that is how long it will take I am afraid.

!2 months is what CIC quote as what they aim to process 80% of the applications in. I am afraid you could just as easily be in the 20% that take longer than 12 month. Not trying to dishearten you, just don't necessarily expect that 12 months is in any way a guarantee.
