Hi all, it would be much appreciated if someone can help.

I applied for family sponsorship for my parents in January 2016. I was able to check the status online on June 10, 2016. Then I got married in May 2016 and submitted spousal sponsorship application for my spouse.
I had 50,000 income for each of 2012, 2013 and 2014 which meets minimum income requirements for family size of 3.
Just recently CIC requested IMM1344 form to be sent again (even though my application was complete) which I did and included my spouse as well (on the updated version of the application). A week later they requested IMM5768 sponsorship evaluation form along with 2015 Notice of Assessment to finalize and reassess. BTW, my 2015 gross on NOA was 65,000
When I first applied in January I was eligible as a sponsor, now my family size will be 4 including my spouse.
I already submitted all requested documents to CIC (first IMM1344, then IMM5768 with 2015 NOA).
My question is if CIC has to re-evaluate again, am I still eligible?
What should be my next step?

Thank you in advance. Any help is much appreciated.

When you submitted the app you would only need to meet LICO for family size of 3 going back 3 years.

Since you got married after submitting the app, you would only need to meet LICO for family size of 4, starting with 2016 tax year and going forward until app is complete.

Rob_TO,

Thank you so much for the quick reply.

I was worried if they reassess my sponsor eligibility again, I wouldn't be eligible anymore. I would also like to know if I have to supply NOA every year, or the have access to my CRA info?

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Hi

I have a tricky question regarding income calculations.
My family size was 3 in 2014 and I sponsor 1 parent so total family size was = 4
However my family size got changed in 2015 with addition of a baby girl.
Now if I calculate my family size in 2014 on basis of 4 I am well above LICO + 30%
but if I calculate on a family scale of 5 my LICO + 30% is short by $1700
Please advice.

Thanks

Did you already submit your parent's app in 2014?

If so, then changes to family size in later years, will only affect LICO for later years. So if your baby was born in 2015, you would only need to meet LICO for family size of 5 starting tax year 2015 and later.

Hi
Thanks for reply,
No I didn't apply, just don't want to waste a spot.
But question is still there, do they check LICO and family size by each year or max family size for lat 3 years.
e.g family size 3 in 1 year 3 in year 2 and 4 in year 3
regards

No, it doesn't go year by year. The family size that a person has at the time of submitting the application is the family size used for the 3 qualifying years.

In that case your family size is 5 for all preceding years.

For 2018 program they may ask for 2014/2015/2016, or 2015/2016/2017, depending if 2017 tax returns will be available at time they accept apps.

Supporting documents - Part A,
4. Proof of principal applicant's relationship to sponsor :
- Photocopy of the sponsor's birth certificate
But, I I don't have my birth certificate what else I can provide to prove the relationship between sponsor (myself-Canadian citizen) with principal application my father.
I was born in India and came to Canada an become citizen.

Thanks
Raj

Raj,
I do not have an answer to your question. BUT posting your same question to multiple threads will not help you to get an answer sooner. Specially some of those discussions are totally unrelated to PGP. (e.g. relationship supporting document for spousal sponsorship)

The same group of people read this section of the forum.

Someone already asked you how you applied for your citizenship because you need some kind of ID (e.g. birth certificate) when you applied for your own PR/citizenship.
