I am a MBA graduate with 2 yrs of experience in Accounts payable. My spouse is High-School diploma with 10 yrs of exp in networking & currently working as a network service delivery.
I am interested for the family sponsorship program in Canada for PR. My spouse own sister is a Canadian Citizen & staying near Toronto since, 2005.As per my understanding from CIC website, one relative can be sponsored irrespective of age & relation. Till date my sister-in-law has not sponsored any relative.
Please guide me, if my sister-in-law can sponsor us on above-mentioned circumstances in Family Class program. :-[
You can sponsor one relative of any age or relationship, but only if you do not have one of these living relatives who could be sponsored as a member of the family class:
-spouse or common-law partner,
-conjugal partner,
-son or daughter,
-parent,
-grandparent,
-sibling, or
-uncle, aunt, nephew or niece,
and you do not have any relative who is a:
-Canadian citizen,
-permanent resident or
-registered Indian under the Indian Act
If you are set on moving to Canada there are possible ways to get there on your own right. Check out the Federal skilled worker or other classes. You may be able to go that route.
