Family class or Canada class??

Hi,

Just second guessing which class to apply under. My common law partner and I have been living together for the past two years and have all of the required documentation to prove our relationship. I just now really need to know which class to select for form IMM 0008. Should I be selecting family or Canada class? I am applying for an open work permit as well if that factors my options. Does it matter if I choose one or the other? Hope someone can help. Thanks

You need to apply inland (within Canada) to qualify for the open work permit.

What exactly are you referring to? Question 1 of IMM0008 asks for the Program, with the options of Family, Economic, Refugee and Other. It does not ask which class you are applying under.

Are you referring to the selection on the checklist?
