Hello everyone.
I would like to thank everyone for all their post and questions on this website. I have been reading them non stop and have been a useful resource in completing our application. I am happy to day on December 7 2016 we have submitted our application for family class sponsership Common Law!!!

I have a question to ask
I am a Canadian citizen, my boyfriend is from Holland and like I said we have submitted our application for family class sponsership Common law (outland). We have been together since may 2015 when we met in New Zealand. We are both living here in Canada. My boyfriend Rudy first came to canada on a visitor visa in may 2016, in June 2016 his visa changed to a International experience Canada visa this is valid until June 2017. WE are planning on applying for an visitor visa so he can stay in canada for several months. Ideadly he can get enough of an extention to stay in canada until we get his PRV approved.
Is it likely that they will grant a visitor visa?
If he has to leave the country,as not granted the visitor visa, would I need to go with him to to maintain the common law relationship.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

X
Amanda

Hi

Have you been living together since May 2015, there and here in Canada?

A visitor visa is for non visa-exempt people to travel to Canada. He would be applying to extend his stay as a visitor. With sufficient proof of finances and a PR app in process, there would be little chance of refusal.
