Family Booklet

I'm from Sri Lanka. What is Family Booklet? I have one called "Family Card" but it expired 2011 and they don't provide one now.The card has been given by province of Sri lanka and didn't say on the card. On that card my name and my parents names have been written. So is this Family Booklet?

A family booklet is from I know usually.in some Muslim countries. Basically it's exactly what it sounds like. A small book with pages starting with parents. A photo, date of birth, where born. Then as each child is born they added to the book. My husband from Muslim country. They had one. But we just take some photocopies of the information and send with original application.
