Another one I'm sure has been answered but I can't find it!

My partner and I have been together for over 10 years and married for 8 years so we both have a LOT of close family and friends that know us and our relationship (and it's hard to remember when everyone met everyone!). How many do we actually have to put??

And I read something that said we need letters from them, and we should have our own letter about our relationship? But we're married, have a kid together, have lived together for almost 10 years. Is that all really necessary? I could just upload wedding photos with all our family and friends!

Hi. The instructions should all be written in the checklist IMM5533, which outlines what you need to prepare depending on whether or not you have children together, as the requirements differ.

Use your judgment. There's lots you can include to reduce necessity of all this other stuff. Yes, for those married with kids for years - eg photo of an anniversary party with family and cousins etc may do it. (Why get letters if they obviously are all at your family events?)

Also: read the instructions. Carefully. (Not 'I read somewhere / somebody told me / youtube video' etc). The instructions.

In your case, you might not be required to provide much 'relationship evidence' at all. I think in your case not much IF both have never been divorced. But don't go by my faulty memory: the instructions.

But also to repeat: use your judgment. If your case is obviously pretty simple (and yes, kids and residing together for a decade is on the simple end), it's probably an easy case for them. I mean, you should also look at your case from a skeptical POV (how might someone outside look at this?), but some cases actually are easy.
