Hi Experts, I am planning to apply for FSW1 and I figured that I am falling short with points to make it to 67. Only if I can make 12 points in Language Proficiency, I can make 67. Here are few questions that I have.
1. How common it is to get 12 points in Language Proficiency after giving IELTS?
2. If I appear for IELTS and do not get the band which will make 12 points to me, can I send written notification to CIC stating about my education, US work experience to prove that I deserve 12 points....rather than sending the IELTS score?
3. My current company have branch in Canada, if I get transferred to that branch say for 6 month or so for project purpose, can I use that as proof of employment to gain the points?
Try to do as many times as you can the IELTS, one day you will reach the score needed, in my opinion it is just a matter of good luck (if you are missing of 0.5 point in some abilities) I attended it 3 times in 3 monts, and finally got it.
Thanks Guys..I understand that CIC recommends IELTS but does not mandate it...right? So if I do not at all give IELTS and just send reference documents justifying my English Langauge proficiency asking 12 points...Do you think it will work OR worked in past with someone?

Verma Ji,
To be on the safe side, Do the IELTS if you require more than 8 Points. It is entirely up to you to decide on which way to go, but don't forget that the ONUS is on you to satisfy them as per this requirement.
I am personally not taking the Exam, but then I have my own reasons. However, analysis and threads have revealed that they normally don't award more than 8 Points.
Study French,Even the simplest 2 month course gets you basic french for 2 extra ponts,Have a College educated Wife,Common law partner etc and that gets you 5 points
