Hi, i landed in canada 10months ago. I will be applying for a student visa sometime in the next month at the U.S toronto Consulate. I wanna know what to expect or even people's experience.
I am a undergrad, 18 years old. Been to the U.S and stayed for 15years because my family bought me as a child. and Now my family and I reside in Toronto, but i want to go back to the U.S to Study.
Will this be a issue for a student visa?
The ties i have are my parents and a loan from canada.
You should ask your question on a US immigration forum:
http://forums.immigration.com/
If you were in the US legally for 15 years - then you shouldn't have an issue. If you were in the US illegally for 15 years, I think there's very little chance your study permit will be approved.

If you were illegally present in the U.S. (without status), then I believe it is close to impossible to get one. Keep in mind that US immigration law treats any person applying for a US visa as an intending immigrant and the applicant has to convince the VO otherwise.
Also, this section of the forum is for students applying for a Canadian study permit/international students in Canada. There is a section for people who are PRs etc. However, regardless, you will have to apply for admission into the US (F-1 status) just like any other prospective student.
