I submitted my application yesterday and received the AOR. After submitting only I realized that I put the eye color as 'Black' for my spouse and for self. Being an Indian, my eyes are not pure black, but dark brown. My wife's eyes are also somewhat dark brown, but one can find some brown coloration in her eyes if they examine carefully the submitted photo.
I am very anxious because of this. I really hard worked to get the ITA and to make all the documents in proper way (like most of us). And at the last moment if something bad happen to my application...... I think I am in depression, friends.. I am not able to have food properly because of this.
These are the questions which makes me sad now..,
1. Is this eye color do any harm to my profile?
2. will it impact my visa?
3. Is it possible/ should I contact cic through case specific inquiry and give a note on this?
4. or should I leave like this?
And finally, if my profile is processed luckily, when I reach Canada, will this mismatching eye color restrict our entry to Canada?
dont worry about it. I once had a discussion with a police officer in the US on this topic and he said that they treat brown and black as same when it comes to eye color. Chill.
BTW, can you please guide me on the proof of fund process (i.e what to take from bank, the format of the letter, from all banks? only savings account? or stock options also count? etc.). Also if you can guid eme to the official CIC link on this topic I would appreciate. thanks.
Thanks. As for the eye color, I don't think it is an issue, brown and black are interchangeable. But still if you are so worried, why don you raise a case specific inquiy , that way you will be fully relaxed, though I dont think it is needed. All thr best,
Eye colors are confusing. Mine is sometimes hazel and sometimes light brown. Depends on lighting. A case officer will understand that too... don't stress too much on trivial matter.
Unlike what we the south indian subcontinent ppl use to think....black eye color is not very common . Hopefully they will correct it. You can raise a cse but if i were you i wouldn't bother.
