Hi,

I would like to extend my stay as visitor in Canada. I have a stamp valid till Sep 20. I got only 3 month because I have a record file. I was denied to enter Canada and was offered to withdraw my application to enter Canada and to leave Canada without delay in January 2015.
So I'm wondering if I would apply for extension, will I still get an implied status till the decision is made?
I think I have to call CBSA to let them know that I'm going to apply for extension. Right now the waiting time is roughly 100 days (+) for application per mail. So it takes longer than I would be allowed to remain in the country. I don't want to overstay nor to endanger the application process...
My husband just got approved as a Sponsor... I think that might help to get the extension approved...

Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you!

You get implied status if submitted before Sept 20th.

Thanks, but even if I have a visitor note attached to my passport stamp which says I have to leave the country on that specific day?
