Hi, I would like to ask if I need to apply visitor visa while waiting a work permit.
I have applied a PR on Family Class in August, my status has been visitor, but will be expired on December.
Do I need to extense my visitor visa?
You will most likely get your work permit before your status expires. When exactly in August did you apply and when in December does your status expire?

I called IRCC this afternoon and they said I don't have to since I've already applied work permit, waiting the decision means I am on Implied status.
I post this question while I was waiting the operator which took me an hour. .
I enjoyed a cup of hotcholate!!

Yes, applying for the work permit gives you implied status. If, however, your work permit application were to be returned (if you paid the wrong fees, missed a signature, etc) then you'd lose implied status. But like I said, they probably would have returned it by now if they were going to.

i have a feeling you will receive AOR before Dec 2nd......well, an extension is a $100 peace of mind....with IRCC sometimes its better to take the safe route, i will apply for the extension regardless.....if AOR before Dec 2nd, $100 is gone but its a token, if no AOR before Dec 2nd the extension keeps you in status because not until a decision is made on the extension application you remain in status......good luck
