Extension of Study permit

Hello everyone, I am currently studying in University Of Manitoba. And my study permit is going to expire on 30th July 2018. However, I will travel outside Canada from 24thApril, 2018 and back to Canada on 24th July, 2018. Could I extend my study permit now? Or it is a must to extend the study permit just 90 days before the expiry date?

I need to know if extending study permit is as difficult as getting the SP.

To be specific, during my first SP application, my social ties are strong means having a leave for year from a multinational renowned company with good salary in home country and a 1 year sabbatical leave for higher study. Plus my kids and spouse living in country. But during extension, I'll not have job and expecting my family to be in Canada with me. Meaning weaker social ties in home country. Would that change in social ties will impact negatively?

For extensions, all they care is if you're studying and doing progress.
The only way you can be rejected for extension is if you commit a crime or just miss school and do nothing.

For funds , just payment receipts and letter from your spouse or whoever is gonna support you for your education.

I did my extension, it's easy.
Nothing like initial study permit.

Does it require medical test during SP extension if my last medical test is around 15 to 18 months old?
