Extension of stay please respond asap

I am sponsoring my husband under the family class, and we just sent in our application this past week. Now we need to extend his stay,what we are wondering is:

I just gave birth to our daughter almost 2 months ago, and I am currently unemployed, He needs proof of means to stay in Canada, We are currently being supported by my family; we are scared he will be denied an extension and he has to leave within a month and a half.

What documents can we send to help this?
Should we send the receipt for our application for sponsorship?

Should we send affidavits from my family saying they will support us?

This is the scariest thing that is worrying us, so any help and advice would be great!

Also should we send it through the mail or online?And what would he apply under?

Extension of my temporary resident status?
or
Restoration of temporary resident status as a visitor?
or
initial temporary resident permit or extension of temporary resident permit?

more info required…is he from uk?

if so apply through cic online for extension of visitor stays - this is a formality, but ensure he does not overstay - if he applies pre 6 months in Canada then he has implied status to remain

secondly stop panicking it won't help you, these things work themselves out

You are his sponsor if you go family class, so YOU need to be approved, hence YOU will need to able to demonstrate ability to provide for 3 years not your family
