Extension of Stay Permit as a visitor

Hello,

I have a question and would appreciate any help you can provide.

I hold a ten-year visitor visa for Canada with multiple entries. I am currently staying in Canada and am authorized to stay in Canada for up to six months. However, I need to stay for an additional six months as I have already applied for PR under AIP, and the process requires six more months to complete.

My question is, will my authorised stay be extended for another six months if I visit the USA now and then re-enter Canada after a few days?
