Dear Friends,
I am on post graduate work permit (1 year) which is due to expire on 30 June 2010. My second stage documents were submitted to Buffalo Consulate on 30 March 2010 so there is no hope that I will have my PR before March 2011. However, I would like to stay in Canada as long as legally possible to gain Canadian experience and recoup funds invested in my career.
My occupation will not qualify for LMO approval. Will appreciate comments from the seniors and those who have already been through similar situations with regard to options available such as apply for work permit extension or visitor visa (likely to be rejected) to stay on 'implied status". Which is the best legal, workable and most economical option?
Cheers....

1. The PGWP is not ex tenable , without an LMO you will not be able to work.
2. Your choice is to apply for visitor status or go home.
3. There is no implied status in your case, as you would not have applied for a new work permit. The implied status would be for an extension as a visitor until your receive the results.

Thanks for your comments.
My plan is to apply for Visitor visa around middle of June (OWP expires on 30 June), which in all probabilty, will be rejected but will give me some time to stay under "implied status" until I receive communication from CIC. Is it the correct strategy?
or
Its better to apply for OWP extension which also, will be rejected but will buy me some time?
How many days they give you to leave Canada from the date of receipt of rejection letter.
