Extension of passport submission time

Hi There,
I would really appreciate your input in this matter. I got passport request for visa stamping within 60 days. But as I am now living another country where I applied for visa extension upon expiry and I unfortunaltey I can not get my passport back before complete porcessing my application. In this situation if I request them to extend my passport submission time another 60 days do you think they will accept it. Anybody in the similar situation pls let me know your experience or suggestions.

hello!my friend had a similar problem with you.Did u inform CIC regarding this?They allowed extension for submission.Please advise.Many thanks
