Hi All - We got a mail on 4/7 to submit our passports within 30 days, however my wife is in India for an emergency medical situation with one of the family members and I am scheduled to travel next week for the same reason from US. As its was an emergency travel, we need to get H1B stamped and is planned on 4/14 and 05/06 for my wife and me respectively and travel to US is scheduled back on 5/23 which takes us beyond 30 days timelines. Is there a way we can request the extension of the deadline to submit the passport? Anyone has encountered similar situation in past?
