I am a Canadian citizen but my partner is not. He is British and his 2 year Canadian working visa expires at the end of November. We want to [eventually] get him PR and then citizenship. We've been looking at sponsorship visas, the Provincial Nomination Program for PR, extending the work visa and getting a work permit. We still however do not know which route to take because we are not currently in Canada. We are working in New Zealand for their winter season and want to get back to Canada in November. His visa expires November 28th so we can get there but I don't know what I can do that will allow him to work in time. I feel like we need to be in Canada to sort it out but the earliest we can get there is October 20th. When I was looking at BC's PNP website (we plan to live in BC although I am Albertan), he qualifies for the Skilled Workers program because he is a snowboard instructor which has a skill level B. But that process, and the spousal sponsorship, requires you to already be in Canada.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. There's so many different forms and visas but I can't seem to find the right one!
