My son is 4 years old, I have applied for a visitor visa for him because his previous permit was about to expired.
He had before a visitor record that allowed him to stay with us in Canada.
My question is .. Was this the right process?. Or do I need to apply for an extension of his visitor record?. Are these two different processes?. I am confused.

If your son is in Canada, you should have applied for extension of visitor record
