I'm starting to look into extending my visit as we have applied for spousal sponsorship and i want to stay in Canada with my wife while it is being processed. In the required documents section it says that I need to submit proof of a medical? Is this correct for a visa exempt extension? I did an upfront medical for my PR application but that got sent in with the application so i no longer have the proof of medical. All I have is receipt showing that I paid for one.
I assume you did the questionnaire which generates your document checklist code, which you then use to start your visitor extension application?
For me, a visa exempt individual like yourself, my checklist has an optional medical, so for that I just upload a copy of my medical info sheet. It is optional so I do not have to but there is no harm in it.
You could contact the doctor who did your medical and ask them to email a copy to you and you could use it.
My mother's visitor visa stay has been extended by 6 months though we wanted the extension for a month. However, the document mentioned that medical forms will be sent separately. It's been 3 weeks we received the visa extension paper however, we have not received the medcial forms and my mom is leaving next week.
I have been calling the immigration department from past 1 week. everytime I get to hear they are experiencing high call volumes and my call is disconnected.
I do not want to get her in trouble when she returns again for medical not being done..any help on this?
