Extending stay of Parents

My parents are currently visiting me in Canada on Visitor Visa. Its their second visit to Canada. This time they received visitor visa for 6 years.

The current duration of their stay (6 months) is ending in Nov'2014. I would like to extend their visa beyond Nov'2014. I would like clarifications on below points.

1. Since they have 6 yrs of Visitor Visa, can they stay beyond 6 months in Canada.

2. If not, what is the process of extending their stay in Canada for 3 months post Nov'2014.
