Extending SIN with expired Study Permit

Hi,

I applied for my PGWP two months ago and still waiting for response. My Study permit expires today and so does my SIN. How do I go about extending my SIN number considering I do not have a non-expired Study Permit or Work Permit (I am legally allowed to be in Canada as I applied for PGWP and awaiting decision).

You can’t extend your SIN without a valid document.
Nevertheless, your SIN is still valid until you get a decision made on your PGWP
