Extending my open work permit

Hi Everyone,

I am in a situation and I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I am on my open work permit which is expiring in August.

I applied for PR through CEC beginning of November but I application got sent back because the cap limit was reached. I have applied to Express Entry and got about 430 points. My questions are,

Given that I don't have an AOR yet, What is the best way for me to extend my work permit?

Would I be able to extend my work permit once I get invitation through express entry program?

Would it make any difference to get assistance from a lawyer?
