can somebody help me hre or give me your advise i would be happy i am a british citizen am 43 yrs my dad is a canadian citizen my dad is really sick at the moment as mom pass away as a citizen from a visa waver country i can only spend 6 months in canada but i wanted to stay longer to look after my dad what advise can you guys give my dad is in toronto..he cannot do nothing for him self am the only girl..he doesnt want anybody to look after him can he sponsor me under the caregiver program i was told that i can extend my stay from 6 months while am there so am a little lost here or if dad cannot sponsor me i still want to be able to look after him and be legal in the country i do have a british passport.

Hiring you under the live in caregiver program will not be possible. In order to hire you, he would have to be working and meeting the minimum income requirements to support himself as well as pay his salary. Based on your description of his condition, it doesn't sound like he's working at this time. And if he was working an making sufficient income, then he wouldn't need a live-in caregiver. So live-in caregiver is not an option for you.

You can apply to extend your stay as a visitor once you are close to the end of your six month visit.

There is a small chance your father may be able to sponsor you as a family member. However it will depend on what other family members he has in Canada and outside of Canada. Does he have any relatives in Canada? If he does qualify to sponsor you, he will have to demonstrate that he has a means to support you. This may be challenging given his condition.

Unfortunately there is no simply / fast answer to your situation.
