Extend the study permit OUTSIDE of CANADA

I am currently in China due to the coronavirus,

my study permit and my visa are going to expire soon,

I am trying to extend my study permit in China,

However, Only when I choose my current resident is in Canada, Then i have a choice that extend my study permit;

If i choose I am in China now, for the question , do you have a vaild study permit and need the visa come to canada? If i said YES , it automatically go to the visa extend,


since the old study permit is not expired yet,


Or you just choose No study permit now?

it is very confusing for me

please help

What does that mean? It sounds to me as if you want your permit extended so why is that the wrong choice?

You can’t extend a SP outside of Canada. You apply for a new study permit.
