Please help, I am filling up my application to extend my stay as a visitor since I still cant apply for residency.
I am staying with my boyfriend, we have been together for 12 months, living together for 6 and we are planning to extend my stay so we can be more time together, meet his family and more of his friends and at one point apply for residency. We might get married or we might apply with common law since we will have proof of being living together for 12 months by then.
My question is...in the application to extend my stay, what should i put as my purpose of my visit and the relationship with the person im staying?
Is it visiting my boyfriend? my partner? my spouse? We consider each other in a legitimate relationship however we still cant apply for common law since canadian government defines it to have to been living together for 12 months.
So in application they ask if im in a common law relationship and i have to say no...but if later on i want to apply for residency then what should be now the term we refer to each other.Whats the correct term or explanation i should use?
I just want to make sure im doing this application right so in a few months we can apply for residency.
