Do you guys think this is a better way to get pr? I am planning to apply in January 2015 but if for any reason current CEC applications are better, I would do it now.
I am interested in your opinion?
Little bit scared with:
''Candidates will be ranked against others in the pool. Only the highest-ranked candidates (those deemed to have the best chances for economic success), and those with qualifying offers of arranged employment or provincial/territorial nominations, will be invited to apply for permanent residence.''
Thanks!
The problem (at least to me) is Express Entry is so non-transparent. Even though you are perfectly eligible, you might not get invitation just because they think Canada's economy doesn't need you. Right now, job nature doesn't matter as long as its NOC 0,A,B and salary is under reasonable range
For some people in a high demand occupation and have active job offer, EE will benefit them because it reduces process time. For many others, not so much since they might not get an invitation based on their experiences and job occupation. Not saying CIC will not give invitation to them, but they will have a lower priority in the eye of CIC.
If you can apply under the current system, I would do it, for more confidence of success.

me too, apply it when you have a chance. if express entry do invite you in future, you have no loss, if not, you know what I mean.
I understand... I could rush and prepare everything by december.
1. In order to apply I need T4 which I will be receiving in january 2015. Is it possible to send that after the fact? Also, does it affect my application the fact that I was on my mat leave this year. Have 2 years of exp prior to that and I am back to work now! (or could I just send my contract and one of the cheques which would be way easier for me)?
2. Do we know approximately at least, how many people got invitation so far? I see its 8000 cap within a year and not sure when did that year start, probably january 2014? Its end of the year and I would't want to not be accepted just because they reached the limit, if you know what I mean.
3. Im NOC 0611, if you have any info I would appreciate that.
Thank you so much for your help!

For now its 3586 check the link below, add 200 to it as some might be in queue so say 3786.
It started from 1st May 2014 and will end in Dec,2014. Thereafter they are abolishing it.
Use below link to keep tab of application accepted.

I don't see any 0611 Sales, Marketing and Advertising Managers applications at all. They are accepting 200 if I understood properly...

You dont see because NOC B applications are listed. And only NOC B applications are subject to 200 cap.

Yah, same boat, applied CEC already. Will definately file for EE next year as well. Double secure, assume you don't care about $550.
does anyone notice below statement ?
Express entry could be offered to skilled immigrants who have put in an application through the federal skilled worker program (FSWP), the federal skilled trades program (FSTP), the Canadian experience class (CEC), and a portion of the provincial nominee program.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/skilled-immigrants-recruited-in-50-occupations-ahead-of-express-entry-launch-1.2673822
is it mean, current CEC application maybe transferred or offered EE chance too ?

It could mean anything until they finalized the protocols for EE. CIC changes their policies a lot, so for now, don't expect anything until EE starts and we got more feedbacks from the applicants...
